Saturday Recap of 2013 Fall Convention in Rochester, NY

The began with Lake Erie Sound taking the stage for the group contest. The winning group would get to go to the 2014 Internationals in Las Vegas. However, it wasn't in the cards as LES finished 5th overall with a score of 829. Friends of Harmony (East Aurora, NY) was forth with 834, Seneca Junction Chorus (Salamanca, NY) was third with 837, Queen City Chordsmen (Buffalo, NY) was second with 858, and Upstate Harmonizers (Mohawk Valley, NY) took the crown with 899. Now for the Quartet Finals: "You Don't Know Jack" (the all-Erie quartet) made the finals with a score of 818, but only added 797 in this round. They finished in 6th place with an overall score of 1,615. John Donohue's group "J.A.M." made an awesome impression in the opening round with a score of 851 and turned in a stellar championship round score of 855, giving them a total of 1,706. Unfortunately, Geneva Convention's 853 opening round and 856 championship round bested J.A.M. by THREE! WHOLE! POINTS! May J.A.M. stay together when the 2014 Spring Convention rolls around!
